What is allActive?

allActive offers all students the opportunity to participate in fun and social physical activities. Whether you want to have a kick around with friends, try a new sport, meet new people or improve your fitness, there is something here for you.

Activities at Hereford Sixth Form College:

  • Are decided by you.
  • Change every half term – so there’s always something new.
  • Are subsidised so costs are either minimal or free.
  • Range from drop-in sessions to coach-led sessions.
  • Don’t require commitment, you can just turn up when you want to!

Throughout the year, a full range of sports and activities are made available through allActive. From team sports like American Football, lacrosse and cricket, through to individual activities such as yoga, fencing and kayaking, allActive sessions are selected according to student demand.

Volunteering in Sport

allActive also provides opportunities for students to volunteer in sport – and no better examples than this are our student activators who support the programme.

Ben Parfitt, Sports Co-ordinator, is responsible for all strands of allActive and can be reached on allactive@hereford.ac.uk

Alternatively, follow allActive on Facebook and Twitter.

Leadership, Coaching and Officiating Courses

Throughout the year, leadership, coaching and officiating courses are organised. These take place on site and are subsidised wherever possible.

All students have the opportunity to access these qualifications.

Competitive Sport

Some competitive sport does fall within the remit of allActive. The programme supports students competing in individual sports or activities which are situated outside the Sports Academies.
