Ski Trip 2015: Saalbach Hinterglemm, Austria
Posted on 23rd March 2015
During February half-term, 26 staff and students skied for a week in the Austrian resort of Saalbach. They were treated to a week of glorious sunny weather and excellent snow conditions.
The beginners improved tremendously during the week and spent the last couple of days happily whizzing around the resort's blue runs.
The "fast" group managed to ski all over the 250k resort and finished the week with a giant slalom race, won by Ben Jones. As well as skiing, the students spent their time tobogganing, eating, drinking and enjoying the mountain ambience.
During the final two days of the trip the Ski World Cup was in town - downhill and Super G. The students were able to watch the world's best skiers training on the slopes, including a massive 50 metre final jump.
Everyone returned home tanned, fit and ready for another ski trip!
The 2016 ski trip to the Ziller Valley in Austria will be on sale after Easter.
