All EPQ Students

  • VISIT TO THE HIVE

    There will be a visit to "The Hive" on Thursday 27th June, leaving the College at 9am and returning at 1.15pm. This is part of University of Worcester and is one of the best resourced libraries in the area.

    This is only open to the first 50 students who bring in the money, total £2 which is heavily subsidised by the College. During the visit you will be given a log in and then be able to access the resources.

    Please collect a consent form from the Sports Hall office if you are interested - J Pugh.

  • NEXT STAGE OF EPQ

    Please complete the following forms in FULL DETAIL and hand to your mentor - Record of Initial Planning and Project proposal Part A.

    These must then be handed to your MENTOR. They will then complete Project Proposal Part B and hand to me so that I can complete Part C. Please organise a meeting with your mentor to complete these as soon as you can. The sooner you do these and hand in, the sooner your project can be approved. J Pugh

Library Opening Hours During May

CLOSED Friday 24th from 1pm and Monday 27th (Bank Holiday).

OPEN in half-term Tuesday 28th - Friday 31st, 10am - 4pm.

The Library is OPEN AS NORMAL during study leave/ exam period: Monday - Friday, 8:15am - 5pm.

Please note the timetable will be altered on Friday to allow an early end to the day. The College will be closed to students at 1.00 pm.

Buses will leave at their usual time.

The timetable will be as follows:

  • Block D - 9.00am to 9.55am
  • Block B - 10.00am to 10.55am
  • Break - 10.55am to 11.15am
  • Block E - 11.15am to 12.00pm
  • Meeting for all leavers in the PAC - 12.00pm to 12.30pm

Apprenticeship Vacancies
Riverside Training (www.riverside-training.co.uk), a local apprenticeship training provider, has several good business administration/customer service vacancies available in Hereford and Ewyas Harold. Employers include a secondary school, a busy clothes manufacturer and a construction company (who are looking for an apprentice estimator, ie, someone who can be trained to interpret building sketches and drawings and then look at the materials and costings for the project). Philosophy Study Day, University College Oxford - Tues 25th June
University College Oxford will be holding a study day aimed at open minded AS students wanting to discover what studying philosophy is like at Oxford. Contact cb@hereford.ac.uk for details.
HOOPLE Apprenticeship Open Day - 22nd May (2-7pm)
Hoople run apprenticeship programmes for Herefordshire Council and the NHS. Courses include business administration, customer service, health and social care, IT and many more! They have an open day on 22nd May at their Training Centre in Widemarsh Street (by the Hereford Journal offices) from 2-7pm. Just drop in. American Football League (Aussie Rules) Level 1
Want to gain coaching experience, skills and knowledge in a new sport? An AFL level 1 course will be delivered onsite on Wednesday 26th June 11am-4pm at a cost of £60. If you would like to secure your place on the course, please email Beky on allactive@hereford.ac.uk This is open to all students.
