student taking part in Extended Diploma in Sport & Exercise Sciences

The BTEC qualification is equivalent to three A levels and it can be used to access higher education in its own right. It is a global study of Physical Education, Sport and Recreation. This is a full-time course currently consisting of fourteen hours per week of class contact and five hours per week of supported independent study. You will normally take one complementary AS course in the first year of study which could be extended to a full A level in the second year. The course is based on continuous assessment with no final examination. You will complete assignments for each course unit and the marks for these will make up your final grade.
