AS/A Level Music Technology

This course is particularly designed for students who would like to develop practical skills in the art of recording and in sequencing technology. The technology on this course helps you to analyse and recreate popular music and to create your own arrangements and compositions. You will gain immense satisfaction as you see your work reach its final stages. Working as a team member on performances and recording projects builds upon your selfconfidence and your experience and working with the latest technology improves your IT skills.
Qualifications
You will need to play an instrument and read music, have an interest in the application of IT to music and be able to demonstrate basic keyboard skills.
Study Visits / Fieldwork
You will be offered visits to relevant music industry fairs like Music Live when these take place at a convenient time of year.
After the Course
There are many new higher education degrees in Music Technology and recording work, together with a range of Higher National Diplomas (HND). Career opportunities are wide as this country has a thriving music industry, commercial and live.
