GCSE Russian

The course aims to develop a good level of competence in understanding, speaking and writing Russian and a deeper knowledge of the culture and civilisation of Russia. You will study topics such as the family, geographical surroundings, house and home, and school life. TV programmes, videos and films are used for classroom and research activities. You will also have access to modern technology including a language laboratory and the Internet. You will learn in detail the structure of the Russian language.

Russian encourages you to communicate with others and offers you the chance to understand Russian society and culture more deeply.

Qualifications

Past experience has shown that for this course you normally need a grade B in English Language GCSE and a grade B in another Modern Language at GCSE. You will also need a commitment to the study of the Russian language.

After the Course
