AS/A Level Government & Politics

The AS course is designed to give you knowledge and understanding of how the British political system works and deals with such questions as 'Is our prime minister doomed?', 'Will the conservative party ever get into power again?'

For A2, students examine American politics and look at such issues as civil rights, liberties, abortion and gun control.

Qualifications

You do not need specific qualifications in Politics, but you should have an interest in looking at current events and in discussing issues.

After the Course

Politics is highly regarded by both employers and higher education. It can lead to a variety of careers including law, journalism, business, the police, the media and the armed forces.
